Microstrip bend (2)
1. Example Description
In the following the bend Microstrip structure of the example
Microstrip_bend, is simulated with a relatively narrowband excitation, see Fig. 1-2. In this case, from the simulation results, we may see no numerical dispersion.

Fig. 2: The complete model of the bend Microstrip with the dielectric material.
2. TLM model
The bend Microstrip structure, excitation-type and
simulation setup are given in the TLM model files
I3D.dev.
The structure is excited with a Gaussian signal. In this case the time duration of the gaussian pulse such that the simulation bandwidth approximately 31GHz. The excitation is modelled by Templete (see documentation) which excites the field distribution of the fundamental mode.
Absorbing boundary conditions are used at the boundaries of the
simulation domain.
3 Simulation Results
3.1 Electromagnetic Field Visualization
The visualization sequence, Fig. 3-4, is similar to the example Microstrip_bend. Form the time domain signals we may see no numerical dispersion, see Section 3.2.

3.2 Computed Time-Domain Signals
Also in this case several different time domain voltage signals are measured at several different positions (see green's lines in Fig. 1 and 2) of the structure, Fig. 5.
