Bowtie Antenna
1. Example Description
In the following example, a Bowtie antenna is simulated, Fig. 1. The length of the Bowtie antenna is 200mm and the flare angle is 90 degree.

2. TLM model The bowtie structure, excitation-type and
simulation setup are given in the TLM model file
I3D.bowtie.
The structure is excited with a Gaussian signal. The source
type is a lumped voltage source at the input terminals.
Absorbing boundary conditions are used at the boundaries of the
simulation domain.
3. Simulation Results
3.1 Input Impedance
Having the knowledge of the voltage and current at the input
terminals, we can compute the input impedance of the antenna and
it is shown in Fig. 2.

3.2 Electromagnetic Field Visualization
The electric field intensity near to the antenna is shown in Fig. 3.
